Lost card. What to do

If you’ve misplaced your card or, worse, it was stolen, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered. Here’s what you should do:

  1. Temporarily Block the Card (If Unsure):

    Head over to MyPortal, your trusty companion in managing your card affairs.

    You can temporarily block your card through MyPortal (check out our user manual here).

    Feeling lucky? If you find your card, you can easily remove the temporary block and carry on as usual.
  2. Permanently Close the Card (If Confirmed Lost or Stolen):

    Certain your card is playing hide and seek or has fallen into the wrong hands? Swift action is key!

    Visit MyPortal promptly and proceed to permanently close the card (instructions can be found here).
  3. Can’t Access MyPortal? No worries:

    Reach out to our Card Blocking service at 09 61500115​ for assistance.

    Important note: Closing the card won’t automatically summon a replacement. For that, you’ll need to get in touch with your Kela office to order a new card.
